Dr. Silvia Sloan
Psychiatrist,
Psychosomatic Medicine Specialist

I believe it is important to understand a person as a whole in order to achieve a better overall healing, since body and mind are strongly connected. I provide both psychotherapy and medication management as best suited for the patient. In addition, I draw from extensive experience in treating difficult cases where specific medical conditions can be the underlying cause of psychiatric presentation. Most importantly, my practice is founded upon creating a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space for patient therapy and healing.

Services
An initial evaluation session lasts up to 60-90 minutes in which I take a detailed history. From this, I hope to be able to provide immediate diagnostic impressions, often with a treatment plan in mind. Sometimes a follow-up session for the latter is needed in order to speak with other providers, a crucial part of treatment. Follow-up sessions are 45 minutes, and we will determine what the recommended course of treatment is for you in terms of medication, and if needed, subsequent sessions.
I am a fee-for-service physician which means I work on an out of network basis; however, I work closely with my patients to help them secure reimbursement. The way this works is: patients pay me out of pocket and I provide them with a receipt, which they submit to their insurance carrier for reimbursement.

Accepted Insurance Plans: Out of Network
Cost per Session: starting rate at $500
